How do I start a new deal?
There are two ways to start a new deal you may press F2 on your keyboard or click on the “New” button on the sales desk.

How do I transfer a deal to sold?
Once all the information for the deal has been inputted click on the “deal worksheet” tab, then click on “sell / recap” button on the bottom right. Then click on “Closing / Summary” tab then click on “close as sold”

How do I print contracts?
In order to print contracts you must have a deal selected then you can pick one of the two following options: first you can press “F8” on your keyboard or you can click on “Forms & Contracts” on the left vertical menu under “Sales Desk”. After the form screen appears select your desired form to print the click on “Print”

How do I add a car into my inventory?
You can press the “F11” key on your keyboard or click on “Inventory Desk” on the left vertical menu and the “Inventory Desk” again. After the inventory screen appears enter all the appropriate information in regards to that specific vehicle and press the “Save” button, when you are done.

How do I setup my default settings?
On the left vertical menu click on “Setup” then click on “Default Settings” then when the setup window appears enter all the appropriate information and click on “Ok”

How do I add or delete a county name?
On the left vertical menu click on “Setup” then click on “County Setup”. When the county setup screen appears you can add a new county by entering the county name and tax rate then clicking on “Add”. You may update a county by clicking on the county name then make the appropriate changes and click on “Update”. You may delete a county by clicking the county name and then pressing the “Delete” button.

How do I detect my modem in AutoXplorer?
If you have windows 95, 98, or ME you may click on “Utilities” on the left vertical menu then click on “Modem Setup” then click on “Auto Detection”. If you have windows NT, 2000, or XP the first thing you must do is figure out which com port your modem is on. Then click on “Utilities” on the left vertical menu then click on “Modem Setup” then click on “Manual Selection”. You will see a new window open with a list of modems to choose form, scroll down and select a modem called “Hayes Compatible Default” then where it says com port put the arrow to match your modems com port settings; then click on “Ok”.

How do I backup my AutoXplorer data?
On the left vertical menu click on “Utilities” then click on “Backup”. When the window appears put a floppy disk into your computer, then set the “Destination Drive” to “A:” then click on “Backup”

How do I restore my AutoXplorer data?
First make sure that you have all the floppy disk with your backup on them. Then on the left vertical menu click on “Utilities” then click on “Restore”. When the restore screen appears on your computer set the “Source Drive” to “A:” then set the “Destination Drive” to “C:” then double click on the autoxplorer folder under “Destination Directory” then click on “Restore”
